Where do you get your strength to get through the tasks of your day?

Do you place your belief in yourself and your own willpower? Or do you place your faith and trust in God to get you through the day?

I believe that I can do nothing unless it is by the grace of God. It is by the grace of God that I do so well on my school work. It is by the grace of God that I got this amazing job; and that I’m doing well at it! It is by the grace of God that I have a loving God-seeking husband who does his best to provide for me every day.

Sometimes I struggle with giving up control, of course. Some days I just try to power through my days to get everything down on my own; those are the days I am most stressed out. I need to constantly remind myself to put my trust in God to get me through the day.

I’m going to end this post with some scriptures that relate to this. I hope everyone is having a wondful day today! God bless you. ❤

  • “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”” -Joshua 1:9
  • “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” -Proverbs 3:5-6
  • “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” -John 15:4-5 [Jesus’ words].
  • “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:4-7

This is a post in a series inspired by one-word writing prompts. I may not or may not do all of the prompts in order. This is where I’ve gotten my list of words: [120 one-word writing prompts]
